Great article, Melissa. I am a former English teacher and I've seen first hand how students' reading is affected by screen technology. It's always interesting to hear them ask for physical reading matter when they really need to absorb something. I like the idea of the biliterate brain.

These issues are nothing new, though. In my early days of teaching, when the internet was not a "thing", there were plenty of kids complaining about having to read when they could just watch the film version of something.
