I happen to enjoy my job - it even pays a salary. The discrepancy between the person at the top and myself is not huge. When I tried MLM (admittedly I wasn't very good at it), I lost money. The other people on my line who I thought were successful because they were better salespeople than myself turned out to mostly be buying products for themselves. Our manager (can't remember the ridiculous title she had) was the only one actually making money and that was because she had 100s of other people underneath her. This company even admitted in their paperwork that the average consultant makes $300 per year.
